GOOD GULLY
"Good Gully is a CGI comedy short directed by Calum Avery and produced by Mitchell Shilling, and several other talented students within our final year at AUB (Arts University Bournemouth). The story of Good Gully sees a comedic battle take place between a of a group of gullies and our loving protagonist, Nubble the crab, all fighting for those irresistible chips dropped by our good friend Mr. Gulliver Bell."

CHARACTER DESIGN
GULLIVER BELL
I began my creative journey in character design with life drawing studies. This helped me capture the posture, gestures and behaviours of an elderly man. This helped me naturally navigate the shape and form of Gulliver Bell. The next step was to find the right look for this jolly pensioner. The gallery below showcases my journey to creating the appearance of Mr. Gulliver Bell.
STEPHANIE SEAGULL
This chip-driven bird would be considered the antagonist of the story. She brings the upmost sass and entitlement into the flock as she bosses around her minions, Barry, Larry and Todd, who would assist her in the intense showdown between four seagulls and a crab. Once again, I began drawing what I saw. Living by the beach in southwestern England, finding inspiration wasn't a hard quest. I studied the local seagulls to capture their form and behaviours. I then a added the cartoon flair by sketching out various forms of sassy seagulls. This would lead to expression and pose sheets that showcase my ability to me explore the possibilities of Stephany's evil look.
